The first thematic workshop for Net-Aman in preparation for the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) which will be held on 15-18 November 2009 in Sharm El-Sheikh. Core group of Net-Aman, affiliate Net-Aman focus groups from governorates and attendees of the workshop will learn more about the main issues that will be tackled during the coming IGF 2009: the evolution of internet governance, ICANN formation and evolution, Infrastructure of the Internet, Multilinguism of the Internet, the Digital Divide. It will also discuss the role of civil societies in internet governance, Net Neutrality and the role of Egypt telecom regulators in the IG arena.

The workshop is taking place on Tuesday, 18th August 2009 at the auditorium of MCIT at the Smart Village.
